The
Network Operations Center is
now located in a state of the art facility in Boston, MA,
designed to maintain our 99.9% uptime guarantee for your web
presence. The data center equipped with advanced features and
security which provide and sustain an optimal hosting
environment.

Electric
Power
The data center utilizes two metro power
grids within the city, so the loss of an entire power grid will
not disrupt electrical service.

Diesel
Generator
Two generators are available in the event
of an interruption in the power supply to the facility and post
a 5 second response time. These generators are tested weekly and
load tested monthly to ensure optimal performance. In the
unlikely event of an outage, each individual rack is protected
by its own uninterrupted power supply (UPS) that maintains power
until the generators come online. These units are equipped to
supply 30 minutes of power which is much more than the 5 second
generator response time.

Raised
Floor
The
data center's raised flooring organizes our network cabling,
power feeds and air handling in an easily managed system. By
running our network cables flatly, we are ensuring that no
strain or stress is placed on the cables, as can happen when
cables are extended from the ceiling.

Fire
Suppression
In
order to prepare for the worse, the center has installed
smoke/particle ION detectors and infrared sensors below the
floor and in the ceiling to allow for early detection. In the
event of a fire, dry action pipes would immediately extinguish
the blaze through dry chemicals that would not disrupt your
service.

HVAC
Within
the facility there are 13 Liebert heating, ventilation and
cooling units which maintain the room temperature and humidity.
The HVAC ventilation system directs air under the raised floor
and through perforated panels, allowing maximum air flow
throughout the facility. Additional cooling and heating units
are also available for electrical and transport rooms.

Network
Monitoring
The
Network Operations Center monitors and manages our backbone
network and equipment while overseeing the movement of people
throughout the facility. This ensures that network utilization,
latency, packet loss, and service availability issues are
resolved immediately so service is uninterrupted.
